Position Overview

Our client, a leading FMCG concern, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Brand Manager to lead the development, execution, and monitoring of brand strategies within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. The role requires a balance of creativity, analytical thinking, and commercial acumen to drive brand growth and market share in a highly competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning
    • Develop and implement brand strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Define brand positioning, identity, and messaging to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Market Analysis
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
    • Monitor consumer insights and translate them into actionable brand initiatives.
  • Campaign Management
    • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, ATL, BTL, in-store).
    • Manage creative agencies and suppliers to deliver impactful campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Product Development
    • Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams on new product launches and packaging innovations.
    • Ensure product portfolios remain relevant and competitive.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage brand budgets, ensuring ROI on marketing spend.
    • Track and report on brand performance metrics (sales, market share, awareness).
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with sales teams to support trade marketing initiatives.
    • Build strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
  • 5+ years’ experience in brand management within FMCG.
  • Proven track record of successful brand campaigns and product launches.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
