The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a high-performance Medical Sales Representative to manage their Trauma & Fixation portfolio across the Johannesburg region. This is a technical, “scrub-in” role that goes beyond traditional sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Theatre Support: Provide expert technical assistance to Orthopaedic Surgeons and theatre staff during live trauma cases, ensuring the correct application of implants, plates, and nailing systems.
- Territory Growth: Manage and expand a high-value territory including major private hospital groups
- Product Detailing: Conduct formal presentations and “dry-lab” workshops
- On-Call Commitment: Participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call roster to support emergency trauma cases (car accidents, sports injuries, etc.).

Candidate Requirements
- Education: A tertiary degree in Life Sciences (BSc, Nursing, Human Movement Science, or similar).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years in Medical Device Sales (Orthopaedics or Trauma experience is highly advantageous).
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Logistics: Valid SA Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle (essential).
