Purpose of the Role
To develop and grow sales of specialty food ingredients by combining technical expertise in formulations with strong customer relationship management. The role bridges science and sales, ensuring clients receive both product solutions and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with food manufacturers, bakeries, and distributors.
- Achieve sales targets and expand market share in assigned territories.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing aligned with company strategy.
- Technical Support
- Advise customers on ingredient applications
- Conduct product trials, demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to customize solutions for client needs.
- Market & Customer Insights
- Monitor food industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback to management on customer requirements and market developments.
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reports
- Prepare technical presentations and documentation for clients.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in technical sales, preferably in food ingredients or additives.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of food formulations, processing, and regulatory standards.
- Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Other: Willingness to travel, self-motivated, results-driven.
